Dogwood Health Trust

Engagement: Liminal Collaboration partnered with Dogwood Health Trust’s Digital Opportunities initiative to support regional efforts to expand digital access and opportunity across Western North Carolina. Working alongside partners including the Benton Institute for Broadband and Society and the Blue Ridge Broadband Alliance, Liminal designed and facilitated a regional learning cohort that brought together nine collaborative groups from across the region. Through facilitated learning sessions, leadership development, coaching, and community engagement activities, the initiative supported local organizations in developing strategies to address barriers to internet access, affordability, and digital literacy within their communities.

Results: The initiative strengthened relationships among digital equity leaders across Western North Carolina and helped participating organizations deepen their understanding of effective approaches to expanding digital opportunity. Collaborative groups developed and began implementing locally tailored strategies to improve digital access and skills, while also building a stronger regional network of organizations working to close the digital divide. The work positioned communities across the region to move from planning and learning toward sustained implementation of digital opportunity initiatives.
